Yijin Jennifer Lee was admitted to the California bar in 2016, and joined The Law Offices of Sarah T. Schaffer in 2019. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Lee worked in family law as a paralegal and law clerk for more than two years, and has since continued her legal practice exclusively in family law.
Ms. Lee strives to provide her clients with the practical knowledge they need to make the right decisions for their family. Using her years of experience in diffusing emotional, high-conflict cases with her calm, rational demeanor, Ms. Lee brings pragmatic advocacy to every case she handles in all areas of family law, including child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, and property division.

Ms. Lee graduated from University of San Diego School of Law in 2014, where she served as an associate and the Chief Articles Editor of the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law (JCEL) and had her student comment published in its Fifth Volume Publication. Ms. Lee also graduated from the University of California, Davis in only three years, having earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Economics and Political Science. She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently, and is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA), San Diego Family Law Bar Association (SDFLBA), and Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego (PALSD), where she currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining The Law Offices of Sarah T. Schaffer, Ms. Lee worked exclusively in family law for well-respected attorneys in the San Diego legal community, where she specialized in alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Lee has received extensive training in mediation practice, and as a result, she is especially skilled in finding pathways to settlement when possible, and developing creative solutions in even the most difficult cases.
